A Revelation

The Whole Bowl

Revelation Bowl may not offer long runs, but its wide and varied terrain will be a popular destination on powder days.

Plum got a sneak peek at Telluride Ski Resort's newest lift-served terrain, Revelation Bowl.

Sitting on the other side of the Gold Hill Lift, the 800-vertical-foot bowl doesn't offer long runs, but it will provide lift-served access to sweet powder when the other side of the mountain is getting windswept and crusty. With cliffs to skiers' right, a four-minute ride on the new quad lift and the easy access (just head up lifts 4, 5 and Gold Hill before dropping into the bowl), we're pretty sure it's going to be a wonderful place for laps in the powder. And the observation deck at the bottom of the bowl offers views of skiers' and riders' turns, as well as views down Bear Creek and into town.

Plus, the new lift will significantly shorten the hike to the Gold Hill Chutes - speaking of which, the extreme terrain of Chutes 1 and 2 may open to adrenaline junkies this year.
