Get Oscar Savvy With "The Savages"

Picture: "The Savages" is catching attention from the Academy Awards. It has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Laura Linney has been nominated for Best Actress.

We may be knee-deep in snow, but we've got sunny Hollywood on the mind. The 80th Academy Awards take place this Sunday, Feb. 24, and the competition is fierce.

Plum was lucky enough to interview Academy Award nominee Laura Linney about her Oscar nomination when she was in Telluride a few weeks ago (see below). She has been nominated for her role in "The Savages," which is also up for best original screenplay. The film plays Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Nugget Theatre.
