Telluride MountainFilm Turns Thirty

Telluride MountainFilm at the Opera House

Telluride Mountainfilm began simply by a group of local climbers passionate about the outdoors and film. Now 30 years old, Telluride Mountainfilm remains true to its adventure roots but has grown globally with cultural, environmental and social film genres.

The Mountainfilm birthday bash hosted special guest filmmakers Charlie and Willie Ebersol, creators of "Ithuteng," a documentary film about South Africa. The film won Best Humanitarian Film Award at Mountainfilm 2005. The brother filmmaking team, along with filmmaker Kip Kroeger, will present a sneak peek of their current film "Don't Look Down," a documentary about Olympic snowboarder Shaun White
