Both makeshift Mother Nature and the real Mother Nature have boosted snow amounts allowing Telluride Ski Resort to open its doors for business on Nov. 30. Now not only do groomers lie ahead, but the 2007-08 ski season lies ahead.
Snowmakers have been blowing snow nearly nonstop over the last few days with colder temperatures day and night hitting the under freezing mark. Now snocats are able to push piles around and carve them into what will become ski runs.
As is tradition, Lift 4 opens first with two runs, the double green runs Village Bypass and Boomerang. Misty Maiden is in the works to open next, and it's a little tougher; a double blue square run.
Cross your fingers because there's some snow forecasted for the weekend. And all we need now is a little help from our friend, Mother Nature.
