Plum Chats With Alex Gibney

Recently, Plum had an opportunity to catch up with producer Alex Gibney at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Gibney's documentary, "Taxi to the Dark Side," just won an Academy Award for Best Documentary. Plum's Jeb Berrier sits down with Gibney to discuss the film, getting nominated for an Academy Award, and the psychology of torture.

Slamdance, For the Truly Independent Films

Plum's Jeb Berrier interviews Peter Baxter, co-founder of Slamdance, a 14-year-old festival that runs alongside Sundance Film Festival.

Slamdance caters to first-time, truly independent filmmakers and exposes some major talent, as it did with "Peluca" in 2003, the basis for "Napoleon Dynamite." This year's highlights include documentary "Joyride" on rock musician Wesley Willis and Oren Peli's horror pic "Paranormal Activity."

Plum Talks to Tony Hawk

Plum hooks up with pro skateboarder Tony Hawk at X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival, which coincides with Sundance Film Festival in Park City. Hawk's film, "The Secret Skate Park Tour," documents pro skateboarders showing up unannounced at skate parks around the country and skating with the locals, and is airing at the festival this year.

The Ebersol Brothers & "Don't Look Down"

Filmmakers and brothers Charlie and Willie Ebersol talk about their new film "Don't Look Down" with Olympic medalist snowboarder Shaun White. The film follows White around the world from Japan, to the X Games, to Rwanda where the famed snowboarder and skateboarder taught Rwandan kids how to skate. MorningNoon&Night host Ramona Bruland gets the inside on this new film to show at Telluride Mountainfilm 2008.
