Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities hosts its biggest fundraiser each year during the middle of winter, the perfect time to dress up fancy and go out dancing. The Beaux Arts Ball is always a success and benefits local artists, local arts and TCAH.

A quick peek at Telluride AIDS Benefit 2007 Fashion Show, one of the week-long benefit's most popular shows. Local models make their mark on the catwalk.

Dine with your dog at the Telluride Fur Ball, a benefit for the Second Chance Humane Society. Host Lauren Uhlmann cuddles up with some local canines and even tests out the taste of a dog treat.

The Ah Haa Art Auction was once again another big community party. Local folks congregated under the big tent and in the Ah Haa's new depot building digs for a night of bidding and auctioneering of Telluride's finest local artists' works.

Hundreds of locals quit work a little early and joined in a real community celebration—the purchase of the Valley Floor. It was a long battle to preserve this 570-acre swath of land, but was won by the Town of Telluride in early May.

Just before the last turns of winter are made and the lifts sadly stop running, KOTO Radio hosts the largest community party of the ski season. Main street is blocked off, Ralph Dinosaur and the Fabulous Volcanoes play, and the town celebrates another winter—this year, dressed in pink.
